Carrot "Arvena" (on the tape)
Carrot "Arvena" (seeds on water-soluble tape).
Juicy, crunchy, and sweet roots with zero hassle.
"Arvena" - is an excellent medium-early carrot variety of the highly popular "Nantes" type with a vegetation period of about 110 days.
This variety is prized by gardeners for its stable yield and uniformity of roots.
The roots have a regular cylindrical shape with a blunt tip and reach a length of 15-17 cm.
The flesh is distinguished by an intensive orange-red color, indicating a high content of carotene (provitamin A) and natural sugars. The core is small, almost invisible, and does not become woody.
Thanks to its taste qualities, "Arvena" is ideal for fresh consumption, making sweet vitamin juices, and baby puree. It possesses good keeping quality for winter storage.
Advantage of sowing seeds on tape: using the tape turns carrot sowing into a pleasure. The seeds are already spaced at the optimal distance from each other, providing the plants with the ideal feeding area.
1. No thinning required: you no longer need to do the tedious work of removing excess seedlings, which often damages the roots of neighboring plants.
2. Time-saving: the sowing process takes mere minutes.
3. Uniform germination: the tape fixes the seeds at the correct depth.
Agrotechnics.
Sowing is carried out from April to June in loose, moist soil. Make a furrow, lay the tape in it, water well (so the tape begins to dissolve), and cover with soil to a depth of 1-2 cm. Row spacing — 20-25 cm. Ensure the soil does not dry out until germination.
